What are these? ("9430" "BO829" so-8 package)
« on: February 09, 2016, 08:41:13 am »
There are four of these SO-8 chips (in parallel?) at the power-input of an old board. Looks like they are after an LM311N that maybe compares external DC-voltage to an on-board battery-voltage and selects between the two sources. So these would be FETs that switch between the power-sources?

As can be seen from the image, one was not very happy about a reverse-polarity incident...

"9430" at the top. "W829" at the bottom. Not 100% sure what it says in the middle. Googling didn't show anything at least quickly...

thanks!

thanks that was quick! do you just keep all the parts numbers in your head or is there a method/search-engine I should know about?

Farnell suggests IRF7406PBF as a replacement.

The pin connections were a clue. That is a standard SO8 mosfet pinout. :)
