Well here it is hot as usual in January. Humid as usual and going to rain again as usual in January. Must admit Spring was mild, it really only got hot mid December. Likely to be really hot, humid and with a lot of rain, again as usual for Durban, slightly more rain but within the annual variations for the area, for at least the remainder of Summer and Autumn probably peaking around March.

Only difference is that this Christmas day and New year's day it did not rain like it did for the last year or so.

Rain, thunder and lightning but hail is not too common right here at the coast. Was a few minutes of hail in December in the one afternoon. I remember in around 1995? there was a massive hailfall one afternoon, leaving around 10cm of up to golf ball hail around. That melted in about 2 hours. 1990 there was heavy snow in the Midlands that had a single patch that was there in a shaded dip the whole summer, visible from the freeway.

Certainly strange Sean, this is so  weird, because it's our winter, it's  usually freezing with snow and ice :-//

Last night I travelled from London up to Manchester. It was raining hard the whole way up the M40. M42 was a little lighter. M6 toll road was heavy rain, but easier driving due to the road's quiet nature. M6 proper was horrible, I could not see the road markings because it was raining so hard.
Today in Manchester the weather is just exemplifies utter misery and crushed ambitions (not that it's Manchester's fault, I like Manchester).

Welcome to humanity (and the 3 second memory that goes with that), an ever changing planet, and statistics! ;D
