the idea is to use two quadcopters designed for aerial photography but one is fitted with a ESP32 Lora type radio repeater.
how the concept works.
one quadcopter will work as a repeater or range extender for the other quadcopter. hovering high over the aerial videography zone.
as the second quadcopter can now fly low to the ground for the best close up aerial videography.
as the first quadcopter keeps an eye on the second quadcopter monitoring the radio signal levels.
the two drone operators work as a team.
the idea came from watching YouTube video of aerial videography.
I then noticed how drone operators can not get close up videography as radio signal levels
would drop off and the drone would be lost.
idea two
is to have better landing gear on an aerial videography quadcopter.
retractable quadcopter landing gear see image. the landing gear would not block the view of the aerial photography camera.
that can now have a 360 degree view from the bottom of the quadcopter
but on landing the retractable gear would be deployed to provide a stable base.
idea three
the use of two camera spheres on the same quadcopter. one camera would face the direction of travel. the drone operators view.
the other camera would be set to track the point of interest for the aerial videography. see image
both cameras would be seen as split screen when setting up the recording then with the video videography camera locked on to its target.
the drone operator can now switch from split screen to full screen to fly around the circumference of the target.
an example would be a quadcopter flying around a moving train. one camera would be locked on to the train. as the other camera would be used by the drone operator
to avoid pylons & overhead wiring. -example for railway aerial videography.
