Speaking of being pissed off by deliveries... today was one of those days.
Two parcels arrived. Both screwups.
First was some DRAM to upgrade a PC. Ebay item 221257676669, listed as 4 x 1GB PC2-6400 800 MHz DDR2.
Urrgh! They arrived wrapped in plain bubble wrap inside a paper envelope! See pic. Worst possible way to pack static-sensitive parts. Well, they survived and work, amazingly. BUT.... they are the wrong ones. Actually 4 x PC2-5300, not the 4 x PC2-6400 listed. That means they are 667MHz not 800MHz. Crap. Now since the seller claims he had the ones listed due to upgrading a PC, how come he had even slower ones lying around? It's going to be interesting to see his reply, and whether we get into an 'argument' about which one of us swapped them.
Second was two service manuals from Manuals Plus in USA. One turns out to be a poor photocopy - not as listed. A manual I've been seeking for years. So that's another huge stuff around coming up. Dammit.
