1980s SDI video

Sure, it sounds like it's narrated by the MCP from TRON (I suppose to evade copyright, I just pitch shifted up by 1), but it's so cool. It's got early CG graphics, stock footage, Ronald Reagan, and crazy ideas.

A few things don't jive, like showing 1960s Sprint footage for a 1980s system and calling the NPB "negative" particles, but whatevs.

Found the earliest footage of the Brilliant Pebbles kill vehicle, I remember seeing that amazing footage in the '90s but I had never heard the hooting and hollering of, I suppose, the engineers.

I'm still looking for the footage of the neutral particle beam slicing through several  targets simultaneously, while the boring old laser had to punch through them one at a time.

I like the bonkers physics behind all this.
Hoarder of 8-bit Commodore relics and 1960s Tektronix 500-series stuff. Unconventional interior decorator.
