If Intel, or someone else, bought Sifive how much would that affect the RISC-V eco system? Are they key to current RISC-V adoption?

If Intel, or someone else, bought Sifive how much would that affect the RISC-V eco system? Are they key to current RISC-V adoption?

I don't think that they are not key, but such a large player could and would definately be able to influence perception.
