I know D-Link have tried to repair their reputation with their "business" class of networking devices (attempting to mimic HP and Cisco devices), but even in the 1990's, I avoided D-Link like the plague.
Their switches, routers, wireless access points and network cards are renowned in the industry as being slow, flakey and sub-standard at best.
If you're in the home market, at least spend the extra few dollars and get yourself a Netgear, Linksys even Netcomm for half-decent performance and reliability.
