Cleaning Anti-Static Mats - No Acetone Please
« on: March 15, 2015, 03:32:39 pm »
Viewers may remember a recent video where Dave got some marker pen on an anti-static mat. Isopropyl alcohol may remove the ink but if it does not please do not be tempted to try acetone. I just tried using acetone to remove some spray paint from a mat and the mat melted.  :palm:
Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.

Mats at work regularly survive acetone. As usual "Try it on a invisible spot", ymmv.

Marks on a mat are no big deal, shows it's used.
