Mystery IC

Hi, I'm doing "research for educational purposes" on a inductive sensor.
There was one IC covered in hard black potting that I removed with acetone.
Unfortunately I cannot find any matches on google for the markings.
It's most definitely driving the coil.
Has anyone any clue what's the part number of this IC?

Possibly a custom ASIC manufactured by HMT https://www.hmt.ch/robust_asics/
