I made posting a self-pat a goal for completing the work....

I'm finally done reworking the \$\pi\$ networks for matching. 200 0402's done.  :phew:

Here goes!
C4 and C7 close to the antenna to the right. It looks burnt but it's the flux I'm using... I might be bothered to clean it up, but I doubt it.
These are for testing purposes so a bit crust should be fine, right? Hehe.

Reminds me of school punishment.

I'm not bitter though.

Good work mate!

certainly good practice, now you should be ready to move on to 0201's without much issue. 01005's though, they are literally dust.

What kind of wireless connection is that?

It's a 433MHz link with Dash7 protocol running on CC430 through a johanson balun into a linx antenna.

0201 feels scary. You do those with an iron too?

It is Lindt :)

I hope you took many eye breaks on that job, 0402 is doable with a steady hand but quite touchy. Nice work!

0201 is theoratically possible, if you consider losing half of your components.

I always think of 0603 as grains of rice, 0402 as grains of bread, and 0201 as grains of salt.
Below that, is just dust.
