Ti training series rant.
« on: October 01, 2015, 05:41:15 am »
I have been trying to watch some training videos of Ti

https://training.ti.com/msp432%E2%84%A2-low-power-high-performance-mcus-part-3-power-system#comment-158

but I found this quite unbearable as the sound and image quality is awful. This is also the case of similar videos I have been tempted to look at. I posted a comment, but obviously it was rejected. I then posted the comment below.

I think that is is a shame that Ti does not put effort in the  broadcasting of their videos. It is really surprising when you see the high quality of all the amateur videos that are all around the internet, AND IN PARTICULAR OF THE EEVBLOG.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

I have already post a comment but you did not put it. Now I am with my computer instead of ipad anD can be more specific.

I appreciate  your effort of  information, but the effort is destroyed by the very bad technical level of your videos. They are just not audible or visible, because much too much compressed, even  with  large band internet connection.

As you have just fixed images, the sound  should be of high resolution quality. If really you need to reduce the bandwidth, which should not be,  increase the image compression, but not the sound compression. As it is, listening to your videos is really painful.

If you want to see good quality videos, look in anyplace in the net, and for example on the EEvblog http://www.eevblog.com/ where I will also post this comment as you do not seem to  take into account negative comments, even if they are constructives.

Best Wishes,

Jacques

Look else where, I remember coming across these before - sad
Low level Youtube grade videos

There is one good thing about them, IF you believe the world's population is too much.
I think if anyone got through them, they would blow their brains out, thus reducing the population.  So we should give thanks to TI for this.  :-+ (only if you believe the population is too high)

So if you want to keep your sanity - stay away from TI videos

If its stills, there is no benefit to the user whatsoever in releasing the training as a video.   A simple PDF, or a web based slide show would be far more useful.

I still want to think that I live in a perfect world and that if enough people complain,
Ti officers will start to understand and make the necessary efforts to improve their videos for the benefit of everyone.

Some accents are pleasant to listen to , others not so much.
If three 100  Ohm resistors are connected in parallel, and in series with a 200 Ohm resistor, how many resistors do you have?
