Looking for some advice on what would be a good starter rework station. Not looking to go into business just hobby gaming console repairs and such. Thanks in advance!!

Then for hot air you need sonething like Quick 861DW its cheapest (300 $/€) and performs same/bettet than Hakko FR-810 (500-600€ its on discount because of FR-11 or ~1000$ in US) 858D is good for home made boards but if you have 8-12layers all copper it might take 20min vs 20sec [did that board started burning well before that BGA came off, this even can happen on 2 layer baords - depends on design], for Iron Hakko FX-951 clone, with orginal tips just search for T12 controller or something like that at any China shop
PS. If by gaming console you ment something ancient and not PS3/XBox360 then 858D is fine
Edit: miss-types stupid galaxy s6 after updates no longer has working spell check
