I've been leafing through some 1960s books (because the 1960s were awesome) and I saw a quick mention of something called "high-energy-rate forming".
It is about using explosives to form metal parts. Oh how I love this general whackiness. I found a video.

It has a quite loud audio artifact at the start but oddly the rest of the audio is quite low and muffled.



I love the fact that it looks like it's just two guys in lab coats walking around a field stuffing explosives into washbasins and blowing stuff up.
Hoarder of 8-bit Commodore relics and 1960s Tektronix 500-series stuff. Unconventional interior decorator.
