Question about some kind of switches
« on: November 15, 2020, 09:34:26 pm »
Hi all, i am trying to understand some kind of switches i found regularly. It s not like 0 or 1 when pressed, but i can measure in diode test i. e. 0,928v when is off and 0,258v when is on. In this way the ecu can see if wires are damaged. How is made internally and how can be simulated or bypassed?
Thank you

Can you provide some details as to what these switches are in (i.e. are they little tactile switches, matrix switches as in connected to a microcontroller or something similar, part of a keyboard or keypad, etc.)?
Thanks!
Cheapness has its own cost.

Is its 0.9V in both directions or just one?

You can take three schottky diodes in series, then place a normal switch to short across two of them to get this sort of result.
