Everyday Practical Electronics
Circuit Cellar
Elektor
Nuts & Volts
Servo

Has anyone ever sent an article to any of the magazine above? Do you get paid sending an article?

I haven't submitted to any of those, but I think they are all similar.

Most will have an "Authors Guide" somewhere on their website.
Circuit Cellar's is here http://www.circuitcellar.com/submissions/authorguide.html

Also, most pay something, but you'll never make a living writing for them (unless you are insanely prolific).
Circuit Cellar, for example, pays $75.00 per published page.

Most pubs will want you to submit you idea as a brief outline first. If they okay that, then they'll want you to send in the finished article.

I'm either at my bench, here, or on PokerStars.

What John said.

Find out what their submission guidelines are.
Don't be fooled by the word guideline, they are rules and however great your submission may be, it will be most likely tossed immediately if you do not follow them.

If they do not have rules on their site check if they generally refuse submissions. If that is not the case find their contact information and ask them for their submission guidelines.

Some magazines belong together nowadays, like Elektor and circuit cellar, keep that also in mind.

The Australian electronics magazine "Silicon Chip" accepts submissions for articles and also has  monthly contest for smaller circuit submissions. They are also affiliated with EPE magazine. SC's guidelines can be found here -http://www.siliconchip.com.au/cms/writingforus.html
