Short vs Long RJ45 socket?
« on: July 17, 2021, 11:10:54 am »
Hey guys, i didn't use RJ45 sockets before, now i'm confused about two different lengths.

Here is the first option:
https://lcsc.com/product-detail/Ethernet-Connectors-Modular-Connectors-RJ45-RJ11_BOOMELE-Boom-Precision-Elec-RJ45-B-1-1_C138392.html

And here is the other one:

The length difference is about 6mm, i'm wondering if the first(short) one is actually 100% capable to receive any standard RJ45 Connectors or there is some other different connectors for that one?

Just that :)

The first one is just a connector.
The second one has built-in Ethernet magnetics.
