Paypal Exchange Rate

Dave, I love you brother... unfortunately my small donation is costing me 7x the donated amount by using Paypal.
I am exchanging from US dollars to Australian gold nuggets....but wow
I rather double, triple or quadruple my contribution to you, rather than continue with Paypal and their exchange rate.

Any suggestion.... Let me know.

I believe you have two options, letting Paypal do the conversion, or let them charge AUD to your credit card and let your bank do the conversion. The latter is cheaper in my experience, but won't work with Amex because they only accept charges in USD. You could donate AUD 1 using both methods and see which gives you the lowest exchange rate. A 7x increase in costs sounds crazy, it's usually just a few percent.
