I dont like short term solutions. Though, with 2 backups of everything, I believe 2 good SSDs should retain my data for 2 decades. I hope. Or, am I missing something?
If you check the SSDs regularly and replace them at the first hint of corruption, this approach may work. I would recommend adding an offsite backup (e.g., in the cloud) to achieve the 3-2-1 objective: 3 copies of your data, stored on 2 different types of media, with 1 copy stored offsite.
Software such as TrueNAS makes it easy to organize regular checks (they call them scrubs).
