Resistor application Rating
« on: June 29, 2024, 06:45:21 am »
Hello, SMD thick film resistors can be selected by application, Commercial Vs General Purpose Vs Industrial. The over voltage, max/min temperature and temperature coefficient are either same or similar.

In general, What is the different between the three applications, when is it appropriate to chose one over the other and is there one to avoid?

thanks gogo

Example datasheets? Are they all from the same manufacturer? If so, could be something about how they are qualified. Headline specs may be the same, but could be tested with different environmental conditions -- e.g. damp heat with load, endurance, short term overload, etc. (usually tested to some IEC or JIS standard).
