The force-fed news, on Google screen saying ' 'you have 72 hours to 'upgrade browser.'
???  I don't know much more, but it has been at the top of the push-fed news they put out for us to gobble on.

Sorry, didn't have time to read, and I get lost in op sys details anyway...

Not sure I got it - does that mean that this notice was forced by a government agency?

This (attached) is the only message I get from Chrome.  If it stops working, I will change browsers and the advertising I get with it.  Maybe it's something related to security in the newest version?

Thanks,  but I'm surprised, to be only person seeing that, over last couple of days.

I was the one paid for this phone, but I'm all complained out, at this time...
(Maybe later, I'll complain, about yet another loss of control, of my own property!)

Perhaps they want to force the Account Sign-up,  which I'm against doing right now.

Sorry,  must create account, ...type of deal.

From what I have heard your news feed sensationalized a report that some users of computers in government offices were several revisions behind on security updates and were given an ultimatum to update their work computers.  While you should probably keep up with security updates on your personal gear there were no ultimatums to the general population.

Not sure why anyone bothers with Chrome these days. Switch to Brave. Both Chromium based, but Brave is faster and offers better security in terms of blocking threats, scripts etc...
