FAKE video
Maybe, but how do you arrive to that conclusion?

The actual sound made by the discharge seems pretty legit.

Looks real to me. He has a piece of wire tied about a foot from the end of the stick to the ground, which is why the charge takes a b-line to the ground instead of to the guy. Really stupid.

If this video is true the person in the video is dead. (this is the most simple argument)

Your post makes as much sense as a zilch.
How would it be fake? The explosion isn't fake, if it was fake it would be considerably higher quality then the video ... i can't tell which pixel is the mad man

Look below to see what i mean

This is totally real.

Insulated roof, ground wire on the wood, very likely he survived, though there may be parts that are not working well. Brain, fingers, bladder, liver are pretty much on the first line of having failed. Of course it was most likely fuelled by brake fluid, slightly diluted with water to make it drinkable.

I think we can be fairly sure his brain is not working very well after this due to it not working correctly beforehand

There used to be a phone-quality YouTube clip about the suicide of a man who stepped over a railway wagon top and deliberately touched the high voltage overhead power supply line. Death was instant. In the comments was mentioned that it happened in India, where the overhead supply lines are 25KV AC, 50Hz. That clip could be found at:
Quote
I kept that clip (a 2.38 MB, 15 FPS, 0'50" .MP4 file) before YouTube removed it, so I could attach it, below: It is compressed in 7z format and split in <1000 KB parts due to a forum software restriction. If you wish to watch it, download all the three parts in the same folder, remove the .txt extension from them all, and open the *.001 file with the 7-Zip application.

Please, think twice before downloading that clip because many people would find its content as particularly graphic and/or shocking.
In plain words, you are warned that the attached clip is disturbing!

At the uploaded video clip it can be seen that the young man was struck twice, even though he was already dead from the first 25KV strike. Right after that, his whole body begun smoking from the extreme heat the two powerful shorts produced in a tiny fraction of a second's time only each...
