My cats gave up on birds. You climb all the way up and then on the last moment they fly to the next tree. You can see the desillusion.

This is my parent's cat. He likes to bite ankles. On Easter, he ate a snake and then threw it up on the doorstep.

Just over a week ago my wife and I lost our boy, HunkyBill. He was just over 12 and we had him for 7 amazing years. Only someone who has had that extra special connection with pet a can understand the heart break we feel.
I have a very nicely equipped home lab, I'd have traded it all in a heart beat for a couple more years with him.
Exhaustive efforts were made to save him in multiple countries by some amazing doctors with the help of incredible friends who understood what he meant to me. So while I've lost my boy I take comfort in having seen what lengths caring people will go to to help.
Please everyone give their special furball an extra snuggle for me. My lab will never be the same.

It is always too soon when they are leaving us, but 12 years? That is really tough, I know your feelings. Keep the good memories.

That was waaay too soon. My deepest condolences - I know how much it hurts when they leave us. He’ll be waiting in very good company on the far side of the bridge. He was a very handsome fellow, and I know you’ll miss him terribly. Hang in there.
