There is something I find fascinating about lifts and lift motor rooms. But for something a little different:

A place where I worked in the 70s had a paternoster. It seemed fine in a workplace, where everyone is a reasonably healthy adult. They'd have some serious issues if used where children around. You need to be real careful not to let your toes stick out at the wrong moment.

Going over the top or bottom never caused any issues. We used to do that occasionally when we missed our floor.

I used to service one at Natwest Bank King Street in Manchester city centre.
Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.

That look like something you would find in those puzzle type video games (like Limbo).
