Hello, I recently purchased an HP 34401A from eBay, it works great but I'm trying to find some sort of PC software like the UltraDMM for Uni-T's and all that kind of PC software that comes with comms-enabled DMMs.

I've fired up a serial terminal sent some commands and got back measurements, and I was sure there already was some kind of 3'rd party software that managed all the serial comms and enabled the user to easily data-log, plot, etc. using this SCPI protocol over RS-323, now I'm thinking I was wrong.

Do you know about any software that talks SCPI over RS-323 to manage and get measurements easily from a DMM ?

Thanks.

Download agilents benchlink for the 34401. That is what you are looking for. It's free.
All their base machines come with benchlink

Thank you very much, it's only a Excel or Word toolbar that enables you to log measurements, but sadly I can't make it work. I can control the DMM with terminal commands, but the Excel toolbar doesn't finds the instrument, Agilent IO Control software also finds the device and lets me send commands and read ID info correctly.
