I think some of those pads can be bought.

I love those pads. and the DIP and SO-8 pads too. I usually do my breadboards the traditional way,
punching out copper circles with a paper punch, and the IC's are legs up dead bug style. But this is so
much neater looking, you can almost (sometimes) box it up and use it as it is.
The squares have more room. I'm often putting two copper pads side-by-side to make a bigger pad.
Seeing this makes me want a square punch to make 1cm square pads from copper blanks.
