There is some animation going on on the display but the Run/Stop button is pressed and there are no probes connected.

What could be going on?

I could imagine it is CGI added. There is no way it can be possible while in STOP

Thats one bizarre R&D lab, I guess its entirely constructed just for this video:
- No power supplies anywhere
- Random mix of seemingly cheap screwdriver sets sitting on silicone mats, why?
- No soldering equipment
- No ESD protection
- Hard stools without wheels

Ah, Apple's lab. Marketing at it's finest. I like to go back in time to their M1 release video:


Apparently you need a soldering iron *at your keyboard* to debug the output of your HDL traces


I make sure my kids and pets can view along on my oscilloscope.


If this 17$ PCB stand is good enough for Apple, then it's good enough for me.
No idea how they ever will make those giant prototype PCBs fit in that holder though.

At least that looks like it could have been used. There a bin with paper towels and ipa on the cabinet left of the bench.

It's a rigol oscilloscope. I couldn't tell you which model, definetely Rigol. That weird casing shape is their branding.

A digital photo with 1884x979 resolution and every single pixel in it is TOTALLY out of focus!

Three cheers for modern, digital photography. I took better pictures with an Argus C-3.

Is it any wonder that I am searching for a new digital camera with MANUAL focus?
