Real cool video on MH370
« on: August 06, 2024, 04:53:18 am »

This video shows a lot of details on the route taken and why the pilot might have flown that route.
At the end is a very cool technical section on how airplanes can be tracked by the way they interfere with radios.  Worth watching for that part alone.

This video is pushing 5M views.

Even though the end of the video cites Joe Taylor in the creation of WSPR, Joe Taylor himself has rejected the idea that WSPR is capable of being used to detect aircraft movements.

https://mh370.radiantphysics.com/2021/12/19/wspr-cant-find-mh370/

Essentially the technique needs to be "proven" by tracking an historical aircraft that hasn't crashed (e.g. my flight from Australia to USA in August 2022), and so far, the methodology proposed by these MH370 conspiracy theorists has not been forthcoming.

As usual, clickbait view counts don't mean jack.

Incidentally, the topic of WSPR & MH370 is not new, and pops up every now and again for attention grabbing purposes:

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/wreckage-of-mh370-washing-up-on-reunion-island/msg4025956/#msg4025956

It's the epitome of lax critical thinking, the hallmark of any conspiracy theory.

Deep Sea Vision claims to have found Amelia Earhart's plane, which is much smaller than a 777. They want to find MH370 next.
