Dumb Ways to Die!

This appeals to me on so many levels, not the least of which is as the son of an old railroad man and somebody that basically grew up in a rail yard. In a tie between you and a train, the train always wins.

Thanks to Melbourne's Metro rail service for this contribution to global culture (which has already been viewed more times than the entire population of Australia).

Well that was amusing.
I saw Elvis. He sat between me and bigfoot on the UFO.

We in the 120v  US do a good bit of our own mains electrical stuff, yes.  In the parts of the world dominated by 220-240v, its rather less commonly accepted, from what I gather.

Here in the US, we used to be tortured with godawful gory drivers education films, such as this jem from 1959 (in use well into the 1980s, at a minimum):

"Do your own electrical work"

I found that to be a rather stupid comment. Obviously someone without the proper knowledge or tools should not attempt it... but it's not difficult to do it right.

It was quoted directly as line from the song...in case that wasn't clear.

Yeah, I know -- I was commenting on the video, sorry for any misunderstanding.

Mouldy milk is very tasty................

Of course whether you die does rather depend on the mould. Ergotamine will kill you after it drives you mad.

Well, yes, but the people without the proper knowledge and tools are entirely unaware they lack them.

Try erecting a 50 foot steel mast for your ham radio antennae--just you and a couple of nearby buddies.     Don't bother with a crane.   Don't bother to call the power company.    When the mast leans over toward the power lines, grab hold of it and try to stabilize it.

I read about the man in the newspaper the next day.    Fried to death.   I did not know him.    This was about twenty years ago.

Using scenes from Mission To Mars is cheating a bit, but as space travel get's cheaper somebody's bound to do it eventually.
