External triggering of Rigol DS1102E

I'm looking to use the external trigger on my DS1102e and cant seem to find any info on it apart from the "Trigger Level Range" of +/- 1.2V

I find it difficult to believe that + 1.2V is the maximum voltage limit for the input and feel that it's just the range at which I can adjust the triggering point.

My novice paranoia with scopes has me reluctant to just hook up my project's 5v square wave to trigger off without getting confirmation that it's safe (although seriously I feel retarded for even asking) 

Any assistance would be much appreciated.


EDIT: Don't worry. I got home and realised it is clearly marked as having the input parameters of the other inputs so I have nothing to worry about triggering from any circuit I do (all low power)
