all I see there is stroking where are the inventions and developments that helped the industry/country out

Their surveillance does not seem to stop crime either (as analysis in reports showed), and the web store is a huge vector for fake chinese crap. Most analysis of these amazon inventions seem to cite them as being bunk. I.e. most work is still done by people in ware houses in the instance of their robotics show cases, and alot of them seem to fail when you involve real world litigation and privacy boundaries.

If it worked out there would not be irate politicians attacking them. Someone printed out a giant check to make fun of the problem and brought it into congress as I saw recently. Thats mad. They know its crappy thats why they are going after bezos like al capone. They are supposed to get a return on those discounts in other ways.. which are not presenting themselves in these guys case.

It reads like a god damn joke, get rich in America then plan to buy an island off the coast of Italy (Cyprus according to rumors) to get away from taxes and other IOUs. That is like what the god father would wanna do. That's like literary the plot to die hard 3.
