Not a great idea as the hairs will clog the locos. Anyway, we don't have any animals at home. Less trouble for me.

add Cats to the mix

All the makings for an early horror movie.

As a kid I had a little circle track/train set, and also the Turbo Train kit, that had magnetics and drove up a vertical section of track. I have some good memories of that stuff, but sadly it all got thrown out decades ago.

The 1st variable PSU I used to do stuff with was the one from the circle track/train. I took it apart at one point, way before I knew any amount of electronics. I can't remember what was inside, it, but not very much. I remember burning out an antique light bulb with it, it looked like a ball of cotton inside, and unfortunately it burned out like it was too.

Here's a really cool model museum in Hamburg, Germany

I have been to the Hamburg one. It is amazing. Multiple floors and such details. There is a much smaller one in Berlin. It models the city of Berlin.

I can't remember if it had the speech from JFK. The Berlin layout definitely has it. It is made like an outdoor cinema where people are watching him speak with a cell phone size screen!
