I am buying an old analog Oscilloscope  i.e. Kikusui COS5020, I want your opinion whether it is a good scope or not?

Compared to what, at what price and what do you want to measure?

dual ch, ext trig, 20 MHz, single timebase, 1mV/div up to 5V/div, XY mode, Z modulation...

Well, I guess it's OK for getting the analog scope touch, playing around with in general and measuring some low frequency (<2 MHz) analog stuff, but I don't know... For digital circuitry? I would say no. Not with todays digital circuits, where you have risetimes well below 5 ns. Ok, you could have some help from it even then but...

I don't know about Kikusui in general (quality, lifetime etc, etc) but I guess it's about as good as other scopes with the same specs. May be fun to play around with and find out the joy of electronics design (if you haven't already) ;)
