Looking for a specific episode
« on: July 29, 2010, 09:04:00 pm »
I understand that the book "The Art Of Electronics" was mentioned in one episode.  Does anyone know what number that episode was, I'd like to watch it.  Frankly, I'd like to watch them all but I only just found the eevblog a couple weeks ago, it's gonna take me a while.

Thanks!

Buy the student manual too. The student manual is soft cover. But when you buy the main book, go for the hard cover.

Thanks, just what I was looking for.

I actually bought a copy of the book a couple of years ago on a whim and tried reading it straight through like a novel.  That really didn't work too well for me so I shelved it but I'm anxious to put it to good use now that I'm starting back to school. I remember reading Kirchoff's law (sp?) near the beginning of the book and being blown away.

Are the student manuals still available?

AOE is becoming more useful when u have a basic background, and when you want to start to practical side.
Nature: Evolution and the Illusion of Randomness (Stephen L. Talbott): Its now indisputable that... organisms “expertise” contextualizes its genome, and its nonsense to say that these powers are under the control of the genome being contextualized - Barbara McClintock

I bought the student manual on ebay just not long ago.

Yeah, I understand it being a little too advance. While reading it, i got that feeling. It scares me that it just might be too over my head;D
