Hello,

I'm looking for a KA3005P-3S (the triple version of the 30V 5A programmable PSU), in stock, to be delivered in France, and garanteed to be latest version.

Do you know where I could find that ?

Thomas.

The ATTEN APS3005S-3D 30V 5Amp seems a good choice too ... with specific series/parallel configuration ... but again, where to buy it ...

Finally bought this one, was in stock :
http://www.atten.eu/power-supply/atten-pps3205t-3s-programmable-power-supply.html

Seems the same, but programmable, still have the serial/parallel modes built in so it's ok.

Thomas.

PS : it is located in netherlands, and they allowed me to pay excl. VAT with my VAT number. Nice.

www.hotair.pl seems to be the only european distributor at the moment.
If it's the latest model -> I am not sure. I guess you have to ask them yourself, but anyway, you already solved your problem by buying something else.

Cheers,

I forgot to mention I already contacted hotair.pl yesterday, no stock at all for the coming 2 weeks.
"Krissy" from Korad told me they were to release new models (non programmable) in about 2 weeks too.

Hello,

First feedback on Atten.eu ...

They asked for 2 weeks before shipping (item was in stock), I asked why, and they replied that they test each and every item prior to shipping.

They also include a "software" which is normally not included (don't know what it is ...).

They'll try to ship it asap (they will try to test the power supply on monday).

Sounds like a bad excuse for not having enough items in stock ... but whatever. :)

Indeed ... but if it's true, then it's nice to have each unit tested before it leaves them. We'll see ...

Hello,

Latest news ...

They didn't send the power supply yet ... they said last friday they shipped only 110V models (I need 220V), so mine should ship this friday.

So they are obviously lying, saying items are in stock when they are not.

I didn't cancel my order yet (still need a good power supply ...) but if friday they can't give me a valid tracking number I'll open a paypal dispute.

Velleman seems to sell it as the Velleman PS3005D.
http://www.velleman.eu/products/view/?id=409798
I have no idea if they are the updated version.

Edit: Sorry I didn't notice you meant the triple version, well Velleman is a source of the single version if anyone is interested.

I've got mine from Velleman today (Korad confirmed me that it's the same device), and looks like it's the updated model. Uses a 230 V transformer.

Hello,

Just received a message from TNT saying that Atten.eu will ship a package for me ... on the 30th of Jan.
They are just lying to the customer, the items are NOT in stock, they buy it with your money once you've ordered, that's now more than 2 weeks I placed the order and my package is still not shipped.

I will NEVER EVER buy again from them (even if the power supply is good, which is still to confirm) ... and I recommand you to not buy anything from them.

Thomas.

[EDIT] I sent them the link of this thread, if they ever want to justify themselves ...

This is Jonas from ATTEN.EU

We are so sorry that this order is delayed.
But we wrote to him directly after he placed the order :

Hello,

Thank you for your order.
We are now processing orders.
Shipping will by TNT Express. When we do, we will send the tracking number to you.

Shipping dates is expected 1/25/2012

If you have any questions let us know.

We also wrote to him that we will try to see if we could do a quicker delivery.
We have 110V models also and these models are not for the EU market.
There is stock but not 220V.

So we offert him 2 sets test leads for free value of €20,- for waiting.

But now you are going to complain in a forum and not telling the whole story.
This is not how we do business.
If you like a we can cancel your order and refund your money no problem.
But please by fair and honest by telling the whole story.

Greetings,
Jonas

Thomas, feels like you are using public forums to push suppliers. EEEk. Bet there are two sides to the story.

Hello,

First mention of the shipping delay was after I placed the order for an item IN STOCK (and it finally is even more delay than you told me first ...).

There is absolutely no mention on the website about the 110V being in stock and the other one not being in stock.

I don't care about the test leads ... 3 weeks lead time costs me a lot more than 20€ (in fact it costs me more than the price of the power supply ...).

I can't cancel the order now because that's 2 weeks you'r sending me mails saying that it will ship soon (I can post the mails too ... first was on the first monday, then first friday, then second friday, and now it's third wednesday ...).

As you can see I posted the first message as soon as I ordered from you, and posted the whole story, even posted updates from time to time, the 23rd I posted the fact that you were having 110V supplies in stock but no 220V.

I still need the supply and don't have time to cancel and re-order from someone else (I got the PCB here on my desk waiting to be validated with the power supply for one week) ... at least I hope it will work as expected.

But indeed that's not how I'm doing business. I don't expect same day shipping from everybody (more and more are doing it), but except from huge chinease warehouses, more than 3 days to pack ONE item IN STOCK is not acceptable, it took you (at least if the supply ships on wednesday) 14 days.

Hello,

Thomas, feels like you are using public forums to push suppliers. EEEk. Bet there are two sides to the story.

My story is that they sold me an item in stock and finally admit it was not in stock (after more than one week).
Their story seems to be the same, except that they offered a 20€ "2 sets test leads" (that's true, I don't deny it ... but I don't even know what is it ...), which I don't think is ok compared to lying to the customer about a 400€ item being in stock and delaying the order 3 weeks.

I'm not even pushing them (they can't send it before the 30th), just warning people about that fact and recommanding not to order from them (except if you don't care about delays, perhaps).

It's just feedback, I won't cry if you order them something :D

Thomas.

[EDIT] Ok I think I found what is the "2 sets test leads" ... http://www.atten.eu/power-supply/power-cable-set-1.html x2 ... well please keep them, it would just fill my trash can ...

[EDIT AGAIN] I checked and the non programmable supply that I first wanted (but wasn't in stock at that moment ...) is now in stock, so I asked if it was possible to swap the programmable - 365€ - power supply for the non programmable one - 135€ - and get a refund of the difference. No reply yet (but was quite late). We'll see tomorrow.

This is not unusual, the Chinese seem to have a different definition of "in stock" (might be a language issue). Same for the long delays, although I'm not too sure of the origin of that.

Lol a language issue ;)

The problem is atten.eu is not chinease but in the Netherlands. I don't expect the same level of performance from a chinease warehouse and a european shop (and I don't expect the same price of course).

Thomas.

[EDIT] Got no reply yet about the swap for the cheaper version (non programmable) ... I'm already waiting for the "whoups, sorry, we already sent it, we can't do it anymore" e-mail to pop-up :D (unit is supposed to ship tomorrow).

Hello,

Small update, unit is supposed to ship tomorrow (30th) and still no reply about myasking to swap the programmable unit (365€) for the non programmable unit (135€) that wasn't in stock when I ordered but is now in stock.

I bet tomorrow morning I'll receive the much awaited "hooo too bad, it just left ..." e-mail.

Hello,

Received a mail yesterday from them ... they did not answer on the availability of the non programmable version, they "offered" to refund the price difference between the 3A version and 5A version and still send me the 5A version (well, the price difference is 15€).

I told them to just send the 5A programmable unit, so that we can all move to something else, just want the PS and stop bother with them.

I hope I won't have to post anything new in this thread ... and I4ll open a new thread for the review of the power supply.

Thomas.

Small update,

It is supposed to be shipped via TNT ... but the tracking number is still not valid after 2 days, and atten.eu just told me it was supposed to be delivered on ..... next Wednesday !

For this price and the insane delay for an item supposedly in stock, don't expect fast shipping ... it's cheapest shipping, nothing else. Ho yes and they "kindly" put the "test probes" in the package anyway !!!!!! WTF I would have swap the probes for faster shipping if I knew it was coming by foot !!!!!!!

Is it possible to be that much non-professionnal ???????????????????????????????????????????????????

During this time, my boards (and my customer) are waiting for the power supply to arrive for high voltage validation (put an elevator music here) ................

........... I'm totally speechless .........

It's not really a high voltage supply at 3x 32V.

What are you building/selling anyway? Just curious :)

Hello,

I need >35V supply (this is why I bought the 3 output version to put the 2 main outputs in series).

I'm designing a CAN bus logger and the CAN spec goes up to 35V, I have some protection in place for undervoltage / overvoltage but I need to validate they are working before delivering to the customer.

For me anything >12V is high voltage :D
I'm doing pretty much only digital stuff at 3.3V (sometimes 5V).

TNT still says the tracking number is unknown (after 3 days ...). I didn't even know TNT had such a slow delivery service (one week for 338km/h !!! that's an average of 2km/h :D ), thought TNT was only for fast delivery ...
