i'd remove the bit "of interest to anyone involved in electronics design"

Just have "hi, welcome to the eevblog an electronic engineering video blog"

The video part is fine.

Keep it, why change? It's like when you watch a TV series and they change the intro and it's just not the same :P I guess you get used to it after a while lol.

More importantly I want to know if you took any time to perfectly lined up the OUTATIME numberplate for the camera shot? I only noticed in the last one but looking back over a couple it's there perfectly in the top corner :P

Well spotted!
I actually use the plate as a kind of reference point for the shot. Not only does it get the plate in the shot, but is just the right height to get my T-Shirt in as well.
I have to adjust the shot often, because many times I will have to move the tripod back and forth to shoot something on the bench and then put it. Because I like to shoot the blog in continuity as it's going to finally appear. i.e. I don't shoot all the talking stuff first and then the bench stuff last.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I guess I'll have to keep the intro!
Will probably change it to shorten it a bit and make it snappier though. Perhaps have several choices to mix it up a bit.

Dave.

I personally like the intro.. however, when you had two part video's it got a bit tedious having to watch the intro again when you just want to get back and listen to what you were ranting about ;)

Perhaps, like suggested, just changing the circuit to one of your many projects, would be much more interesting :)

Cheers

I like the idea of keeping it as is - length, voice-over, etc. but simply change the board from time to time.

I also like the intro and credits at the end, it gives head and tail to the content, and it looks more serious and thought out video than just start and stop...
That said, I wouldn't mind if you change it from time to time, or maybe make a few simillar intros that will reflect what the content will be, one for rant, one for review, another one for educational or diy projects, etc.
