iPhone 11 PCB
« on: September 28, 2019, 07:43:18 pm »
Am I the only one that is fascinated by the new iPhone 11 motherboard?
Are components stacked between layers or are there 8+ layers and components placed right by each other?
Anybody here with experience regarding that kind of stacked PCB? What is the process of engineering something like that?

I don't know how they are made, instead, I know that Apple will refuse to fix any problem, and will point you as make something wrong, even if you did nothing, and ask you to buy a new phone, that is the only thing that is for sure.

In my experience the phones are very reliable, well constructed and work as advertised.

I refuse to even consider any phone that has that stupid notch in the screen though. That is just bad design, a complete joke for something that is supposed to be high end however I see them everywhere so obviously a lot of people have money and don't care.

Eh, I've had an iPhone X for just almost two years now. It doesn't bother me one bit. YMMV.

Obviously a lot of people are not bothered judging by the number of them I see. A lot of people don't seem to mind the stupid logos that every TV channel has floating in the corner either, but both bother me a lot. So much that I completely stopped watching broadcast TV and any content with logos/watermarks obstructing it years ago. It makes the product/content unusable to me.

Now I agree with you on that. I haven’t watched broadcast (or cable, or satellite even) in years. Not worth my time for a variety of reasons.

I refuse to buy anything from apple, they are a totally unfair company,  I have a very expensive Ipad pro, who the screen is damaged, but still works it's a crack basically,  they 1st deleted all my data, then they told-me to replace with a refurbished unity paying 80% of the price of a new Ipad, since on the " genius bar "view" is impossible to fix my unit .

Of course, I'm no fool, and just replace the screen myself,   But the way that they handle any kind of service is ridiculous and unfair. I'm not alone on this bandwagon
