decoding Waveform
« on: June 10, 2021, 04:32:51 pm »
Hi,

I did not find a place where to post my question and I hope here it is OK.

I have made two small loop antennas for a lightning detecting project based on the Blitzortung hardware.

Now I need to find more or less EMI free a place where to loacte the antennas.

Is there a way to decode the EMI producer by looking at the waveform the oscilloscope delivers ?

For example like the image below

Thanks Rainer

Hi,

Thank You.

This is going to be a fixed setup. I used first the simple method of sniffing EMI using a portable AM radio.

Will keep searching and looking at the waveforms I see and perhaps switch on and off a few things at the place and see how they react.

Rainer
