You got the wrong one - silver is better, especially for that side.

Obviously not!  Look at the big voids in the middle of the chip where it didn't touch!  That center depression needs to be filled.  Sheesh!   :palm:

That much paste is more likely working like a blanket. And it's only a socket A so no more than 75w TDP stock.
Your toaster just set fire to an African child over TCP.
