NUTS!
« on: March 07, 2016, 06:33:57 pm »
OK, so I made a mistake and ordered the wrong part and what arrived in the post is of no use to me. However, I hate throwing anything away.

Free to a good home, bag of 20 nuts with 0.5 inch coarse thread. Send a PM with a mail address if you want them.

No replies by 20th March and they go in the metals recycling bin.

It was only until I got to "coarse thread" that I stopped wondering what kind of (tree) nuts these were.

Sorry, can't help you with getting rid of them...

Yeah, others have said the same thing. I was hoping for nuts to fix BNC connectors to front panels and instead I got nuts more suitable for engine blocks.

What you have is probably
12/ inch 13 pitch Coarse Thread UNC ?
Right?

Every once in a while I use them, so if nobody takes them, keep me in mind.

I would use them but posting from Germany to UK would probably cost more than just buying new ones here :)

Currently restoring a 1950's car and I do work on a friend's early 50's tractor.
