Login issue on this forum

Since last Sunday, I got an issue in accessing this forum. I always greet by a message saying:

Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
This ban is not set to expire.
-

I tried to login using my ID and password, same message show up (still say Guest!). Tried diff device (MAC, iPhone), diff browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox), clearing all cookies, cache. Same result. Some times I managed to get in (like this time) using Private Mode in Safari but this trick not always work.

Would like to know if anybody has similar experience. I also tried diff internet connection (home wi-fi, cell phone 4G, company wi-fi)

Yes, I had the exact same issue, from multiple different IP addresses as well as different computers. Today, for the first time in nearly a week, a private window worked. I wonder what is happening?

I also tried VPN to UK or USA with same results

There was a problem with one (or more) of the ban triggers that I set up to try and reduce the amount of porn spam over the past few weeks. The bans were set a bit too broad which meant that a small number of users were effectively banned from the forum based on their hostnames (even before they could login).

Sorry to those who got caught up in that. It should all be resolved now. If you're still having problems, clear your browser cache.

FYI, I have retained the ban on all hosts connecting from a TOR exit node. Realistically, this shouldn't impact "normal" users of the forum.

Nope, it didn’t work for me (I am now on a 4G network). Neither clearing the cache fix the issue.

Same machine, same ISP, same IP address (static, with reverse DNS in place). A private Safari window lets me access the site, a normal one gives me the banned message.

Clearing all cookies etc., - whatever Safari chooses to include under the heading site related information - fixed the problem

Restart Safari on my phone after clearing the cache seems to work
