How to follow a thread on the forum?

How do I follow a thread on the forum without commenting on it so it pops up under "Show new replies to your posts".

I know there's the "notify" option but that just sends you a message saying the thread has been added to.

Any easy way?

Post something, like a single word ... "Subscribed" ...

... or alternative, if you're interested on a thread or even a single post, use the "Say thanks" feature, it serves as you personal online bookmark, then you can find all your interested posts listing at your own profile at the Thanked Posts by yourself.

Click "remove" you're own post ? 

Just do it wisely though, as your post maybe quoted or something important that other people valued.

Click "remove" you're own post ? 

Just do it wisely though, as your post maybe quoted or something important that other people valued.

That's a lousy way to unsubscribe and if people do that and remove posts with content that was relevant to the discussion before the thread jumped the shark, older threads end up so full of holes they look like swiss cheese.   If you *MUST* 'unsubscribe' its probably best to simply ignore the whole topic rather than removing your own posts.

I thought of doing that but I feel like I'd just be cluttering things up with chaff.

I don't think that this is equivalent to following a thread which you have participated in. The "Notify" function will send you an email every time there is activity in the thread, won't it? That does not work for me, as it clutters my Inbox.

Seeing updated topics of interest whenever I check the "new replies to your posts" list is much preferrable for me. But I don't think there is a way to get a thread into that list without actually posting. Which is a pity!

I don't think there is a way to anti-ignore a thread. Pity.

Yes, there is: Go to
Profile - Modify Profile - Ignore Topics Options
and you will see a list of your currently ignored threads.
Select any number of them via the checkboxes on the right and click on the "Un-Ignore" bottom in the lower right.
