An absolutely superb electronics fundamentals course
« on: October 13, 2020, 12:20:25 am »
With the advent of YouTube, finding a reliable source of **high quality** tutorials on engineering topics, is quite a minefield.

Let's face it, with YouTube you're relying on the channel author saying he's an "expert", and potentially you're wasting maybe many hours listening to his "tutorials", only to find out he's made many errors, speaks WAY too fast, and... well, maybe he's just not very good at articulating and teaching the subject.

Yes, there's plenty of superb YouTube speakers, but allow me to send you down a different track... I've signed up for "The Great Courses Plus" trial, and oh boy are the lecturers ever top notch! The specific course I'm following is hosted by Dr. Richard Wolfson, and is just so well presented and explained, a step or ten above what I'm used to seeing (ithese are n the ballpark of "Mr Carlson's Lab" territory, whom I'm convinced would also make a great asset to their company!)

If you are looking for a solid grounding in the fundamentals of electronics engineering, look no further, seriously. The company sends out scouts to sit in on their lectures wherever they may currently work, and observe their style, etc (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Courses)

I can't recommend this company highly enough.
