News Consumption Survey

Hi Guys,

I am trying to reach people who are interested in the consumption of news, and trying to get a large sample. As I am collecting data for a news subscription service that would aim to unify as many news paper outlets as possible under one subscription. Removing or dependency from ads, and therefore becoming the consumer again instead of being the product.

So another question That I didn't add to the survey is whether this should be a decentralized non profit organization or a for profit organization?

I am leaning towards the first.

And the main important part behind this is that we cannot censor or not allow anyone from joining this. The organizations goal should be to just funnel the money directly from people to news organization with zero profit, maybe only maintenance and server fees for the organization.

Blendle is similar to what you've described (including recently switching to a subscription model) and hasn't been able to turn a profit, so non-profit may be the only option ...

Oh my I didn't notice that you guys responded.

My thoughts is that it should be a non profit organization. As I would want it to have the least amount of interference into free speech. Preferably no censorship at all whether corporate or governmental.
And I don't want this to turn any profit.

Sadly I have contacted a couple of newspapers that I respect but I got no response. But I don't want to give up now. So I will try to contact other places. If you guys have any ideas on how to go through with this it would be amazing.
I am a software/electrical engineer. and I know that I can muster the skills to pull this technically but I do need a couple newspapers to start with, and I know that is the hard part of it.

I am willing to offer the servers, the software and my time. But I really do need some help.

Also blendle isn't what I want.
I don't want to be an aggregate of news articles.

I want every news paper to have its websites and articles and I would just facilitate the payment and subscription to those guys. In my opinion through a browser extension that would remove the pay wall if a person is a subscriber.
