Electronics shops in Washington DC
« on: July 07, 2012, 12:15:49 am »
I'm visiting Washington DC next month so, as the USA is the place to go to buy new toys, I was wandering if there is any electronic's shop in Washington DC worth visiting. Is there any that sells Agilent Oscilloscopes?

One thing I'll do is buy lots of stuff from digikey but, unfortunately, they don't sell Agilent Oscilloscopes.

Nothing notable as Washington is not a hotbed of electronics manufacturing.  One option if you're visiting the states, buy from the lowest cost dealer you can find and have them ship it to your USA address.  The places worth visiting mostly for great salvage are near electronics havens, like Florida because of NASA, or California because of Silicon Valley.

Not much in the way of surplus shops in DC that I am aware of, but the National Electronics Museum is about an hour outside DC. Well worth a look is you are in the area.[
