Had this pop up today. Interesting in some places, like the spinning clock and the solar powered 3d printer.

Can anyone identify the reel to reel tape player used in the beer dancing scene? That appears to be the exact one that we had at my house when I grew up.

Sony TC-366

How did I know someone would know that right away?  Since posting I started googling every 1970's era electronics brand followed by reel to reel until I started finding some styling similarities. I found a Sony TC377 that looked almost identical, but the switches and buttons were more metalized. So I started going through the Sony line and had just found the 366 and came back to report it.

I remember as I kid thinking I could turn it into a vcr by connecting the video out from my computer to the audio in of it, but it never worked.  :-//  :D

I loved the big knob on the right side.  I remember my mom had bought some 8-track tapes at the drug store for 25 cents each to salvage for parts to fix some of her old 8-track tapes where the foam had disintegrated and that had left us with lots of spools of 8 track tape that was of no use.  I wound the tape on some reels and was surprised that I could play the music on the reel to reel. (It seems obvious now, but back then, I was amazed)
