The theory is obviously in his head, he just seems afraid to let it out on camera. Maybe he thinks (rightly or wrongly) that no one will watch a geeky video full of equations and safety warnings. Maybe he's simply reluctant to explain things. That doesn't mean he is ignorant himself, although he is definitely pandering to the ignorant "Top Gear watching" masses a bit.

I also don't like some of the bullshit he talks. He says he quarterly bill came to 10MW, which has to be bollocks. Presumably he means 10MWh, even if that were spread over 600 hours the average power consumption would be 16
