Really a great accomplishment, and a new world record has been set.
A really beautiful airframe, years in the building.

a satellite that can stay up indefinitely*

*While the sky is clear, the day is long enough and there is no high wind.
Which put quite a restriction on climate and latitude.

It won't be good for regular service.

Also, how is it better than a tethered balloon?
