Full teardown of a Shure e4c earphone and driver
« on: January 03, 2015, 04:20:23 am »
I had time at work today and decided to see if I could fix my damaged earphones (Spoiler...I couldn't). I ended up getting some pretty fascinating pictures through the scope camera of the inside of a high-end earphone and inside the driver itself. I though people here might appreciate a look.

Those must be hard to assemble, seeing as they look like there is a lot of hand work involved in manufacture.

A lot better though than the cheap ones I buy, as those are cheap and I consider them as disposable items, though I do often repair the cable ends on them, as well as making the cord shorter so they do not dangle when used with the media player in it's regular location in a shirt pocket.
