Since we are playing the word game, cracking is not theft. It is Copyright infringement.

Cracking software  to use it without paying is theft. It seems some people have no sense of right or wrong.

These are definitely illegal. They are attempts to violate trademark, copyright and ownership of the software to enable people to get stuff for free that they should pay for. It's called software piracy and it is stealing. It would be essentially the same as if you figured out a way to break in to a friend's car and steal it. And if someone told you how to do that or gave you the means to do so, that person would also be committing a crime.

It is illegal to own it and use it, it is illegal to make it (that's called aiding and abetting a crime, if nothing else.) Some companies can indeed track the illegal copies, and you will find those copies will stop working. You will get NO support from the makers of the software, and possibly even be sued over it. Other things that can happen is if you are using an illegal copy of something for school and the school finds out, they might suspend or expel you because if they knowingly allow students to use illegal software, they are implicated in the crime as well, and the software companies can make a big stink about it if they choose to do so.

And a fucking Google Maps link? What's the point of that? Encouraging people to stalk him at his house is the only thing I can possibly think of.

Also, Iliya, you gave the software away for free! When you give something away for free, how can you honestly compare sharing it to piracy or theft? It was free! It's not the fault of the people who got it while you were giving it away that you changed your mind later.

He also should not distribute other peoples software, free or not, without permission. This is illegal.

He should publicly apologize and withdraw the offer.
