Any experience with alibaba / aliexpress ?

I need to purchase some SMD RGB LEDs, about 1k plus or minus. Ebay doesn't seem to have what I want, too expensive per piece. I think I've found what I want on aliexpress, but I'm not sure what to think of it.

Is this place any good ?

Avoid alibaba unless you know how to smell a scam and deal with wholesalers.

I bought a book of inductors from Aliexpress and was very happy with the service from the company I dealt with. I haven't actually tried using any of them yet, but they look very nice in the folder they came in, and were quite cheap.
